Introducing... SMARTProjection!

Ready for your Fall 2016 classes… "SMARTprojection" technology has been installed in Reed Hall seminar rooms 153 and 237.
This projector provides for an interactive teaching system that can be installed anywhere, projecting to any flat surface – eliminating the need for a dedicated SMARTboard!
It is compatible with both "SMART" and "MIMEO" software and is fully integrated with our classroom teaching podiums.
Additional Smartprojectors will be installed in Merwin Hall classrooms 212, 228 and 231 in time for the Spring 2017 term.
Please call us at x-7100 to arrange a private or group demonstration.
We’ll also be hosting regularly scheduled workshops where you’ll have the opportunity to test this technology and determine if it can be incorporated into your course sessions.
Please check the Lucas Center Calendar to participate in any Smartprojection events, demos and workshops... http://www.fgcu.edu/LucasCenter/calendarofevents.asp

A CLEARER VISION...

NEW COMPUTER CLASSROOM FURNITURE in additional locations!

Moving forward with FGCU’s recently implemented Furniture Replacement Process, funding was allocated to remove obsolete computer desks in three additional locations this year...
the Nursing Lab in LIB Room 441, the Open Lab for students in BHG 208 and Whitaker classroom 269
The new furniture’s innovative design will bring both the instructor and students “into focus.” The partially recessed LCD platforms on each desk provide ample room for our wide, flat screen monitors and offer a clear line of vision to the front AND the rear of the room!
Take a minute to visit one of these rooms and let us know what you think of the new design!

Coming Soon... KALTURA!

Kaltura is a recognized industry leader in video storage and delivery systems.

  • Use video tools for remote learning, flipped classrooms, social learning, supplemental instruction and so much more.
  • Add captions to your videos to make them more accessible to all students
  • Measure student engagement with video-based analytics.
Watch for our announcements and for demonstrations and workshops that will be offered through the Department of eLearning and The Lucas Center… http://www.fgcu.edu/LucasCenter/calendarofevents.asp.
